Reid was an awesome host very accommodating and responsive. The place had beautiful views of the river, very peaceful and serene. It comes with kayaks and a canoe which was great. The driveway is pretty steep but there is a place to park up top if you didn’t feel comfortable driving down. The cabin had everything you would need and more!

This place was a quiet oasis. My dad and father-in-law were mesmerized by all the fishing they were able to do right from home while the ladies sat on the porch and relaxed. Signal was awful but allowed for more talking amongst each other and interaction with nature which was a big plus! Definitely recommend this place if you enjoy the outdoors and want to get away from the city!

We loved this peaceful and beautiful cabin! The kayaks were a great addition. We really enjoyed our time out by the water. Our family really loved the location and privacy. We will definitely be back!

The Tucky Cabin was a great stay, its tucked back in a very remote location that is very peaceful. The place was fully stocked with everything you could need. Kitchen utensils, linens, laundry detergent, spices, really nice coffee maker, diffusers, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, games, very comfortable beds/pillows, wifi. It was very clean and updated inside upon arrival. Fishing, kayaking, swimming is available for miles. We had several campfires and had a great time on the river. I caught several bass, seen deer and other wildlife everyday. We floated the river all day and didn't see anyone else. Its like your own personnel wilderness. We had a wonderful stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It was peaceful and beautiful...very remote...a nice escape. Reid was extremely responsive and helpful.

This was the perfect place to get away and relax! The place has everything you need in the kitchen and has really nice details to make you feel at home. I love how secluded the property is but it is not too far away from stores and restaurants. We had a really great stay!

If you are searching for someplace to get away from the everyday hustle and bustle , this place is it!!! With all the amenities of home and the welcome feel from the owners it quickly removes any stresses you would have . We had a perfect time of rest and recharge and would return again.

LOCATION

The Tucky Cabin is a quiet riverfront Kentucky rental property, far enough away from everything to help you get away, but close enough for all the fun day trips. Take the winding trail downhill where you can take the kayaks and canoe out on the river, go for a refreshing swim, have a campfire by the river or on the deck, and spend time with your loved ones.

Extra parking is located by the road if you don’t want to park on the steep driveway. Located about an hour and a half from Louisville, 45 minutes from Elizabethtown, and an hour from Mammoth Caves, this vacation home is located within an hour and a half of so many fun adventures! Enjoy our riverfront Kentucky rental house near Rough River, Elizabethtown, Mammoth Caves, and Louisville.

The Tucky Cabin is a one-story home with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It can sleep up to 6.

The house sits on a little less than an acre, with a sloping lot on a beautiful shoreline and views of the water from the living room and 2 of the bedrooms. This cozy, newly renovated, 1200 square foot home has a large back porch that faces the water with plenty of seating and a firepit and grill to enjoy. It provides ample room for guests to be comfortable with modern conveniences, while enjoying the wildlife that make frequent appearances including turtles, cranes, fish, and even foxes!

Vacationing at this riverfront Kentucky rental home allows you to spend your days on the deck relaxing, swimming in the river, kayaking or canoeing for hours filled with fun, fishing, and friends, or hanging out by the fire pit down by the water. When you think you have had enough fun in the sun, head uphill to enjoy a drink on the porch overlooking the river, grill out for the family, or sit around the firepit and make memories. You will find all you need for a perfect getaway!

Raining or cold during your trip? No problem! We have a wide variety of movies to watch together with your friends and family, and tons of games to keep you laughing for hours!

ACCESS AND WIFI

Guests will have private access to the entire property. Guests will access the home using a secure pin code that will be sent prior to arrival. The wifi code will be sent prior to check-in as well.

EAT

Fully equipped kitchen including a refrigerator, freezer, both Keurig and traditional coffee makers, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, crock pot/instant pot, meat thermometer, hand mixer, food scale, all cookware and dishes needed to cook and serve a meal for 8. There are also some fun restaurants nearby to try, which you can learn more about on the Things to Do page!

EXPLORE

Thrill seekers can go on a cave tour at Mammoth Caves. Those who want to be close to nature, but not on the lake, can go for a hike at one of the many county or state parks in the area. You can also rent a boat and enjoy the day on the water in Rough River, just about 15-20 minutes away!

History lovers can explore Abraham Lincoln’s Birthplace, as well as Abraham Lincoln’s Boyhood Home. The kids will love Holiday World with its fun amusement park and Santa Claus Museum! We also love the Thomas Dairy Farm and Market, with its rides, corn maze, and many animals to feed and interact with!

On days when the weather prevents outdoor activity, or for those who need a break from the outdoors, there are a number of indoor attractions such as the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, or throw some axes at Axe play in Elizabethtown!

There are several wineries in the area including Blue Heron Vineyards and Winery and Bruners Farm and Winery. You can also find many stops on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail to check out!

There are a number of casual and fine dining restaurants within 15 to 60 minutes in Rough River, Leitchfield, and Elizabethtown.

No smoking (inside house), an additional $1,000 cleaning fee is applied if smoking occurs in the home.
Pets are allowed with permission, and do require a $150 pet fee. We accept registered service dogs free of charge (this does not apply to emotional support dogs). Undisclosed pets will result in a $500 pet fine and the pet must leave immediately or the guest’s stay is terminated.
No events, parties, or large gatherings. An additional $1,000 cleaning fee is applied if an undisclosed event occurs in the home.
Must be at least 25 years old to book
A signed rental agreement and photo ID must be sent 48 hours after the reservation is made or the reservation will be canceled.
Requires stairs: 2 steps at the front porch, 3 steps at the back deck, and 3 steps down to the lower part of the back deck. The driveway is fairly steep, as is the trail down to the river.
Cameras/Surveillance: 2 exterior operational video security cameras actively recording 24/7 during your stay. One on the front porch by the door, records visually and audibly. One at side of the house facing the driveway, records visually and audibly as well. None are monitored. No cameras inside home.
Security: The property and neighborhood are safe areas. The neighbors are laid back and easy going. They all enjoy the river life! There are video cameras actively recording 24/7 during your stay at the front porch door and the driveway that allow guests to feel safe and comfortable in a secure environment.
