Emergency: Call 911
Important: Fire extinguishers located under kitchen sink and under master bathroom sink. First aid kit under master bathroom sink.
Air Conditioner: Do not operate the AC with the doors or windows open because the unit will freeze. The only way to thaw the AC is to completely shut it down for 4-6 hours. During hot summer days, it could take up to 24 hours for the AC to re-cool the house.
NO SMOKING: This is a NON-Smoking rental, including vapes and e-cigarettes. Smoke smell inside or cigarette butts tossed outside do carry a fine.
Pets: We are a pet-friendly location, but please be considerate of others. Keep your pets nearby, and clean up after them. We charge $150 per reservation for pets, and reserve the right to charge an additional fee due to any damages from pets to furniture, walls, etc. We accept registered service dogs free of charge (this does not apply to emotional support dogs). Undisclosed pets will result in a $500 pet fine and the pet must leave immediately or the guest’s stay is terminated.
Neighbors: Please be mindful of your neighbors. The county noise ordinance is in effect 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
House Issues: Please contact Reid Vernier at 616-329-6106 so we can get any issues resolved ASAP.
Parking: Please note that our driveway is very steep and cars without 4 wheel drive may have trouble when it is wet. There is a gravel parking lot at the top of the driveway along the road that we advise you to park in if you’re at all concerned about getting stuck. We do have tire chains to help you gain traction if you do get stuck.
Trash Disposal: Trash can is located by the shed, and our cleaner will empty it after check-out.
Washer and Dryer: The washer start button needs to be pushed TWICE to start. Please clean out dryer vent after each use to prevent fire hazards.
Supplies: The house is set up with an initial supply of coffee, coffee filters, dish soap, paper towel, toilet paper, and trash bags for your use. Extra toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and other amenities not listed here are the responsibility of our guests.
Check in time: Check in is at 3pm CST. Please note we are on the very edge of the central time zone.
Check out action list:
1. Remove all grocery items and take garbage to the outside trash can.
2. Clean, dry, and put away any used dishes.
3. Leave appliances clean.
4. Keep beds turned down that have been slept in.
5. Turn off lights and fans.
6. Make sure all windows and doors are closed and locked.
7. Check all rooms and the balcony for personal property. Items left behind are returned at the guest’s expense if found.
Check out time: Due to the rapid turnover of guests and cleaning schedules, the checkout time of 11:00am CST is strictly enforced. A half day’s rent may be charged for late checkout.
Finally: Please treat our house as you would your home. This house means the world to us and we are so privileged to own it and to share it with you.
